New Projects

Beachcomber Hotels, pioneer of the Mauritian hotel industry with eight hotels in Mauritius, expanded its operation to the Seychelles in 2002 with the opening of Sainte Anne Resort & Spa. In line with its policy of constant renewal, Beachcomber Hotels has important projects scheduled for launching in 2009/2010.

The Trou aux Biches will be entirely demolished and rebuilt on its magnificent site. A new resort in Praslin will allow Beachcomber to diversify its business in the archipelago and will coincide with the opening of Beachcomber’s first resort outside the Indian Ocean, a Royal Palm resort in Marrakesh, Morocco.

TROU AUX BICHES

A luxury village-style resort located on prime land

The Trou aux Biches will close from the 15th of January 2009. The hotel will be completely demolished and rebuilt in a village-style configuration. The new layout will consist of individual pavilions and Villas set within a large tropical park. All will be done to preserve the resort’s unique atmosphere and to deliver the ultimate in privacy, space, serenity and communion with nature.

The new Trou aux Biches will include:
• Pavilions comprising 3 spacious rooms or Suites equipped outdoor showers
• 3-bedroom Villas with private pools
• 6 restaurants to promote alfresco dining
• A Sports and Fitness Centre
• A tropical Spa with 24 cabins
• A Beachcomber HEAD Tennis Academy
• A range of land and water sports
• A Bob Marlin mini-club with its own restaurant (for kids aged 3 to 12)

Provisional opening date: mid of 2010

A NEW HOTEL IN COTE D’OR, SEYCHELLES

A 5-star property with a « Robinson Crusoe » appeal

Following the success of Sainte Anne Resort & Spa, Beachcomber Hotels continues to expand with a new resort scheduled to be built in Côte d’Or, situated on the north coast of Praslin just a 20 minute drive from the airport. The new Beachcomber resort will take island hopping to a new level of luxury, as guests travel between Sainte Anne and Praslin. The new resort will seamlessly integrate the luxury expected of a Beachcomber hotel with the natural beauty of the island. The elegantly designed accommodation at the new resort will consist of bungalows and Villas some with pools, scattered throughout the tropical gardens.

The end result will consist in:
• 121 keys
• 3 restaurants
• A Sports and Fitness Centre
• A tropical Spa
• A range of land and water sports
• A Bob Marlin mini-club with its own restaurant (for children aged 3 to 12)

Provisional opening date: end 2009

ROYAL PALM HOTEL GOLF & SPA MARRAKECH

The finest resort in Marrakech

The new development is two fold; firstly the building of the Royal Palm Marrakech and secondly the creation of an exclusive real estate village matching the hotel’s style and elegance, "Domaine Royal Palm" , which will be sold separately.
As the Royal Palm in Mauritius has become known as the most prestigious address in the Indian Ocean; Beachcomber aims to establish a similar reputation for its new Royal Palm in Marrakech. Created by the Mauritian architect, Jean-Francois Adam, and bordering on the golf course, the luxury Suites will each have exceptional views of the Atlas Mountains.

The end result will consist of:

• 150 Suites & Villas
• 4 restaurants
• An international golf course (designed by Cabell Robinson) & Country Club
• A Spa
• A Sports Centre

Provisional opening date: end 2009
