Open for all meals, L'Harmonie is the resort's main restaurant. It overlooks the main pool and is designed in such a way that it provides a choice of small-scale venues in which to enjoy a meal.

Dotted with swaying palm trees, the spacious outdoor terrace covered with exotic decking stretches along the shimmering pool.

Tables have also been laid out inside, close to the buffet area and in an enclosed dining room, reminiscent of typical Mauritian colonial verandas with large windows opening onto one of the most beautiful beaches in Mauritius.

L'Harmonie specializes in extensive buffets. Breakfast there is a feast that will satisfy both the hungriest and most discerning guests with tantalizing mouth-watering buffets.

Each evening comes with a theme, allowing guests to sample worldwide trends and tastes. Created with impeccable taste, the buffet display features colorful combinations enhanced by refined presentations and beautiful centerpieces.

Cooking stations make the experience even more enjoyable for guests who can watch the food being cooked right before their eyes while having it customized to suit their preferences.

Open for lunch and for some occasional special evenings, La Plage is a casual beach restaurant consisting of individual thatched pavilions set amidst a lush palm grove.

The restaurant provides a relaxed atmosphere where guests can eat while digging their feet into the sand.

The menu matches the casual setting and features light meals with a slight accent on fresh fish and seafood.

Guests will experience some of the best moments of their holidays in Mauritius as they eat to the gentle sound of the sea lapping onto the beach and palm trees rustling in the delicate sea breeze.

As its name suggests, Il Gusto serves authentic Italian favorites. Open for dinner, this gorgeous contemporary-style restaurant features a distinctive indoor-outdoor setting with luxurious parquet flooring for the interiors and exotic wooden decking edged with cool reflecting ponds for the outdoors.

Painted in warm paprika shades, the elegant interior evokes the traditional Mediterranean theme. Intimate seating arrangements are an invitation for small, private dinners.

Acting as a centerpiece to the venue, the fabulous self-service buffet dedicated to the starters features an enticing selection of anti-pasti and soups. Main courses and deserts are served at the table.

To complement their dinner, guests can choose from a wonderful selection of fine wines, hand-picked from a variety of regions around Italy.

Occupying the heart of the hotel next to the main pool, Le Mahogany is a trendy bar. It has a lovely terrace that opens directly onto the beach and sea.
The cosy setup features comfortable armchairs in wood, rattan and leather arranged in small individual lounges. Rich parquet flooring and extra-large ceiling lamps add a touch of glamour and warmth. 

In this convivial environment, guests may sample an extensive range of premium spirits as well classic and creative cocktails while enjoying the hotel's live entertainment at night.

Fabio Zanforlini has taken up his new position as Executive Chef at Dinarobin Hotel Golf & Spa on Thursday 17 September 2015 after more than 10 years at the service of Shandrani Resort & Spa.

Before joining the team at Shandrani, the Italian-born chef travelled across Europe, soaking up experience and diverse cooking and managerial techniques in five-star restaurants and resorts. He has worked in prestigious establishments such as The Carenage Bay Resort (a five-star hotel in St Vincent & Grenadines in the Caribbean), Hotel Ermitage in Italy (five-star) and Hotel Manapany in St Barthelemy (a four-star hotel), to name a few, before moving to Mauritius and treating the guests of Shandrani to his authentic Italian cuisine.

Precious experience gained from travelling to the different regions of his native country, complemented by vast international influences, will enable Chef Zanforlini to maintain the high standards, creativity and diversity in the kitchens of Dinarobin Hotel Golf & Spa

Ingredients

  • 2kg lobsters
  • 100g butter (softened)
  • 20g garlic (chopped)
  • 30g parsley (chopped)
  • 80g salt
  • 10g pepper (crushed)
  • 50g olive oil
  • 300g patoles (snake gourd)
  • 300g chou-chou (chayote)
  • 300g okras
  • 200g pommes d'amour (small plum tomatoes)
  • 200g onions
  • 300g calabash
  • 400g Basmati rice, cooked pilau-style
  • 100g tomatoes (fresh)
  • 2g garlic (chopped)
  • 10g ginger (chopped)
  • 10g coriander (very finely chopped)
  • 40g butter

Preparation

For the grilled lobster

Cut the lobsters in half and brush the flesh with oil. Add salt and pepper and place them on a charcoal grill shell-side down. Cream the butter and add the parsley and chopped garlic. Turn the lobsters over, cook the flesh side for one minute and then turn them back again. Brush with the butter mix from time to time until the lobsters are cooked.

For the vegetables

Cut the vegetables and grill them separately. Arrange them on skewers and season with oil olive, salt and pepper.

For the Creole-style rice

Sauté all the ingredients in the butter and add salt to taste.
