RumFest Beachcomber returns for a flavour-packed second edition
From 13 to 22 November 2025, embark on a unique week-long journey as each day sees a different Beachcomber hotel hosting the 2nd edition of RumFest Beachcomber, in partnership with RumFest Ltd. A festive, island-wide celebration of Mauritian heritage through one of its most iconic treasures: rum.
Celebrating four centuries of local heritage
The history of Mauritian rum dates back to around 1630, evolving alongside the sugar industry. Today, it is recognised internationally for its quality and award-winning production. Rooted in a 400-year-old sugarcane tradition, RumFest Beachcomber 2025 showcases the evolution and excellence of Mauritian rum, offering guests a unique cultural and culinary journey.
What awaits you:
- The festival takes place across eight Beachcomber hotels, each hosting a unique day of celebrations.
- Activities include tastings, meets-and-greets with producers, educational presentations, and rum and food pairing dinners. - A dozen exclusive rum-based cocktails crafted for the event in collaboration with local distilleries.
- Signature cocktails include the Chamarel Old Fashioned, Pigeon Punch, ’Karokann Konfi’’, Lazy Fruit Daiquiri, Gold Fashioned, Oaks & Ames Negroni, Exotic Punch, Beach Mojito, and Lolita’s Split Banana. - Selected premium rums will be available for purchase in Beachcomber boutiques.
- The event reflects Beachcomber’s commitment to celebrating and preserving Mauritian heritage.
What’s new: Two brand additions
- Major Philippe by Omnicane, showcasing innovation in the sugarcane industry.
- Lolita Marie, offering tropical fruit-flavoured rums.
