The course of UTRB 2015 will go through some of the most amazing and breathtaking places of Mauritius, thanks to the support of our partners. You can rediscover or visit them with family and friends, thanks to the special offers from our partners.
La Vanille Nature Park
Run a few meters from crocodiles - safely - in the shade of old trees ... This is the unique experience offered by UTRB. Crocodiles, giant turtles, farm animals, a butterflies and insects museum, a restaurant, pony rides and a walk in the rainforest where the park is located, await visitors at La Vanille Nature Park. Participants of the UTRB and their families enjoy special rates to visit it. Click here to learn more.
Domaine Saint Aubin and Domaine de Bois Chéri
These two estates - one for sugar and tea for the other - offer a nice discovery. Saint Aubin (where will be located a major supply station of UTRB) provides, in one place, a nature walk and an overview of the activities that marked the economic history of the island: a sugar factory, now a museum, a greenhouse for anthuriums and vanilla plants, a distillery and a beautiful colonial house dating from 1819 - which is home a restaurant and a small naval museum.
All about tea in one place: this is the offer of the Domaine de Bois Cheri. At the heart of the tea fields, a factory provides the discovery of the transformation of the leaves of these fields (drying, processing and packaging). The tea museum, next door, invites you to learn more about the history of this drink before tasting varieties of tea or a good meal in the restaurant of the estate, perched on a small hill overlooking a lake. Click here to learn more.
The Domaine de Bel Ombre
Spanning over 2,500 hectares in the mountainous region and on the coast, in the South-West of Mauritius, the Domaine de Bel Ombre offers magnificent sites that the participants of the Trail des 7 Couleurs and Trail de la Perruche will cross and admire. Another discovery is possible, with family or friends, through excursions in the Frederica Nature Reserve, home to some of the rarest flora and fauna of the island. Click here to learn more.
The Domaine de Grande Rivière Noire
This large estate has 3,000 hectares of mountainous terrain and savannah, at the foot of Piton de la Grande Rivière Noire and near the Grandes Gorges de la Rivière Noire. It harbours hunting grounds for deer and boar. Hunting and other activities can be organised for UTRB runners and their relatives. Click here to learn more.
Experience Mauritius with Mautourco
Our tour operator partner, Mautourco will transport the participants to the starting points of each race. Mautourco has also developed a special offer for a series of excursions through the island, with lower rates for participants UTRB 2015 and their relatives. Click here to learn more.
