Mountain bikers of all levels and nature lovers are once again invited to a unique experience in Mauritius from 18 to 20 May 2017 with the second edition of the Mauritius Tour Beachcomber (MTB).

Beachcomber’s sports management team is gearing up for the 2017 edition of the MTB. This 200km mountain biking race in four legs will give an opportunity to the participants to cycle through mountain and forest landscapes as well as sugarcane and tea fields, and along the rugged southern coast of Mauritius.

As for this year’s edition, Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels will provide the participants, their relatives and staff with five-star accommodation with preferential room rates at Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa on a private, unspoilt peninsula. The hotel will host the departure and arrival for most of the race’s legs and therefore offers the ideal accommodation for the event and more generally, for an active holiday close to nature with a wide range of options, including a pitch-and-putt golf course, a sailing club, a dive centre and a kids club.

The first edition of the MTB has attracted renowned mountain bikers in May 2016 and was won by the Mauritian, Yannick Lincoln in 7:52:16 ahead of the South African, Christopher Wolhuter and another Mauritian, Alexandre Mayer.

Registration is opening very soon. In the meantime, just check out the videos of the 2016 edition on the website:
