Julien Laugier, Royal Palm’s Head Sommelier shares his fascination for South Africa’s rich wine heritage through this celebration, kicking off on 7 July with a Gala Dinner with Anthony Hamilton Russell. Hamilton Russell Vineyards, one of Africa's most southerly wine estates and one of the closest to the sea, specializes in making very distinctive, terroir-driven Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that are widely recognized as the best in South Africa and among the finest in the New World.

Megan Mullis from Domaine des Dieux will be at Royal Palm from August 14 to August 18. This top-notch winemaker's boutique wine farm in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley has won the Amorim Cap Classique Challenge's Best Producer title three times in eight years, as well as the Best Brut trophy during the 21st edition in 2022. This competition recognizes South Africa's top Cap Classique wines.

From August 28 to September 1, Royal Palm will host Margot Ellis of Neil Ellis Wines. The estate's winemaking approach is built on cultivating exceptional grapes, collaborating with the best farmers, and using little intervention to produce interesting wines with a strong sense of place. Their wines come from wards and districts that reflect the finest that their area or sub-region has to offer.

To close out this festival, Erika Obermeyer of the boutique winery Erika O will take centre stage, which runs from September 18 to September 22. Her handmade collection produces terroir-specific wines with intriguing flavors, complexity, and great cellaring potential that are refreshing, delicate, well balanced, and well suited to food. Erika O creates small batches of wines that accurately capture South Africa's unique vineyard settings and extraordinary diversity, while also delivering a highly particular product that reflects enormous passion, and attention.
