Le Français Frédéric Ischard, Mathieu Desserprit de l’île de La Réunion et le Sud-Africain Christopher Wolhuter sont parmi les vététistes de renom qui seront sur la ligne de départ de l’édition inaugurale du Mauritius Tour Beachcomber 5-Star Bike Adventure, organisée par Beachcomber Events du 19 au 21 mai 2016.

Frédéric Ischard est un compétiteur multi-sports qui vient de s’attaquer à l’Old Mutual joBerg2c en Afrique du Sud, une course de VTT longue de 900 km, à la fois éprouvante et exaltante. Il sera au coude à coude avec Mathieu Desserprit, champion de VTT de La Réunion en 2015 et Christopher Wolhuter, l’un des meilleurs spécialistes de la discipline en Afrique du Sud, dans cette course passionnante et animée en quatre étapes à travers une variété de reliefs et de paysages.

Les participants devront couvrir une distance totale de 200 km sur les quatre jours de course, dont un parcours époustouflant de 80 km du pied de la spectaculaire montagne du Morne Brabant, dans le sud-ouest, jusqu’aux plages du sud-est, une étape de 40 km associant sensations fortes et vues spectaculaires menant du Shandrani Resort & Spa – un 5-étoiles Beachcomber situé dans le sud-est de l’île Maurice – jusqu’au centre de l’île, une course de nuit sur 24 km et une étape ultime de 55 km à travers un relief varié avec une arrivée en beauté au Shandrani Resort & Spa. Le Mauritius Tour Beachcomber 5-Star Bike Adventure est ouvert aux vététistes chevronnés et amoureux de la nature âgés de 17 ans et plus. Ceux qui souhaitent participer à la course ont jusqu’à demain, samedi 7 mai 2016, pour s’inscrire. Il suffit de se rendre sur la page web dédiée de Beachcomber Events www.beachcomber-events.com/mtb et de suivre quatre étapes simples.
Chaque vététiste est libre de s’inscrire pour l’intégralité de la course ou de choisir les étapes auxquelles il souhaite participer. Les participants peuvent aussi réserver une chambre à tarif réduit dans une sélection d’hôtels Beachcomber.
