O espetáculo que oferecem é no mínimo surpreendente. As salineiras protegidas do sol por grandes chapéus, trabalham nas mesas de salgação, às vezes com os ancinhos, vezes com as caixas de sal na cabeça. As técnicas de produção permaneceram artesanais e inalteradas, e libertam um charme irresistível.
 
A água é trazida diretamente do mar que murmura nas proximidades. Passa de uma bacia para outra, e evapora gradualmente sob um sol ardente para dar lugar a cristais de sal. Cerca de 1 500 toneladas são produzidas anualmente e vendidas no mercado local.
